There was never any chance all 52 of DC Comics’ new titles were going to survive, and I’m happy that only one of my monthly books (“Mister Terrific”, which sadly wasn’t very good anyway) is getting the axe. The others are “Men Of War”, “O.M.A.C.”, “Hawk and Dove”, “Blackhawks” and “Static Shock”.
These six will be replaced with six new titles (DC is calling it the Second Wave of the New 52) but at a glance they seem unlikely to fare much better. Of the six the only ones that interest me are “Earth 2” and “Batman Incorporated” (which isn’t even a new title), although I’m a little intrigued by “Dial H” from novelist China Miéville (hard to imagine it topping “H.E.R.O.” from a few years back though).
